Volunteer Opportunities
Come visit the new state-of-the-art Parent Center located in B23 on the
campus of Washington Preparatory High School. The Parent Center is
open 5 days a week from 8am-3pm. If you come to the Parent Center and
it is closed, no problem, just go to the Title I Office in B22 and ask
someone to open it up for you and sign in. It is equipped with
computers with internet access, a copy machine, books and reference
materials, refrigerator and microwave. There is usually hot water on
for coffee, tea, hot chocolate or hot apple cider.
The Parent Community Representatives are Nina Jemison, Karen Scott, and Vidalia
Moctezuma and are there to assist you in any way. Learn how to become a
Volunteer on campus, how to get scholarships for your child, attend
parenting workshops and training, learn what the District is doing for
parents, complete the meal applications, learn how to get waivers for
college applications, waivers for testing and much, much more.
