Our mission is to ensure that each student, upon graduation, will possess the academic and social skills needed to think critically, function in a diverse society, and participate as informed responsible citizens prepared for leadership in their community, the world, and all areas of life.

Congratulations King Hector Ventura & Queen Roc'Kale Bowman The Senior Class crowned the court at Prom 2014 held at the renowned Ebell Los Angeles Theater on Friday night. Congratulations to the members of the Prom Court and to Senior Council and ASB for their hard work and dedication in planning a prom to remember. The Administrators, faculty, staff, and Wow! Entertainment commend the Elite Class of 2014 for enjoying a beautiful evening with dignity and pride.

'Tis the Season a Real Holiday Hit! The Performing Arts Magnet brought holiday cheer to all with 2013 'Tis the Season under the direction of Mr. Coffield and his team. From the opening of Santa vs. The Grinch through the terrific dance and musical numbers (featuring at one moment our own Principal Byrd) to the closing with surprise pizza and candy treats, it was a holiday show to remember. Thank you, Mr. Coffield, for your tireless dedication to the Arts at Washington Prep. And to all the student performers who worked so hard, we wish you all Happy Holidays!
